Note:

1. The target groups of RFS and SRFS are stellar researchers who are tenured (or substantiated) Associate Professor (Staff Grade from “C” to “G”) and full Professor (Staff Grade from “A” to “D”) respectively at the time of nomination. Starting from 2022/23 exercise, the candidate's remaining years of tenured service should be sufficient to complete a full course of the fellowship before attaining the supporting university’s official normal retirement age.
2. Each RFS awardee will be conferred the title "RGC Research Fellow (研資局研究學者)", and the supporting university will receive a fellowship grant at HK$5,155,380 per award over a period of 60 months.
3. Each SRFS awardee will be conferred the title "RGC Senior Research Fellow (研資局⾼級研究學者)", and the supporting university will receive a fellowship grant at HK$7,798,380 per award over a period of 60 months.

   Special points to note:
   (a) The Nomination Form and Guidance Notes have been revised and the structure for navigation has been improved. Nominees should read the revised Nomination Form and Guidance Notes carefully before completing and submitting the nomination form.
   (b) There are new declaration requirements which are set out in Part I (2) of the Nomination Form. Details about the RGC’s requirements on declaration of time commitments could be found here.
   
   
5. An institutional quota of six for each scheme has been set by RGC. If the number of applications received exceeds the respective quotas, internal selection will be required. In this connection, please note that application materials listed in item 6 below should reach ORKTS by the internal deadline and late applications will not be accepted.
6. For internal vetting and selection purposes, candidates please submit the following to Grants Team, ORKTS (orkts_grants@cuhk.edu.hk) by the internal deadline:
   
   a) Preliminary proposal (in PDF); and
   b) Duly signed Undertaking and Endorsement Form (original true copy).
