Our latest episode, "How to Protect Your Inventions: Patent 101 & New Patent Funding Schemes at CUHK", from ORKTS Webinar Series was held successfully via Zoom on December 16, 2022. With about 60 participants including professors, resesarch staff and students, the webinar had Ms. Jennifer Che to cover the differences between patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. Ms. Che also discussed how to develop a strong IP strategy and portfolio, why proper inventorship is important, how publications can impact a patent, and common mistakes that inventors make when pursuing patent rights. ORKTS also introduced new Patent Funding Schemes available to CUHK inventors at the seminar.
