Nature

• To relieve all teaching and administrative duties for a period of 1 year to do full-time research in Hong Kong

• To relieve all teaching, clinical and administrative duties for a period of either 6 months or 1 year to do full-time research in Hong Kong

Eligibility

• Full-time academics on regular mode of appointment at the time of application (not applicable to staff members who are on clinical salary scales)
  
  
• Aged between 30 and 55
  
  
• Permanent Hong Kong residents
  
  
• The applicant should have served the University for more than 3 years and are expected to continue to serve the University for a minimum of 3 years after completion of the fellowship. 

• Full-time academics employed on clinical teachers’ terms on regular mode of appointment at the time of application
  
  
• Aged between 40 and 55
  
  
• Permanent Hong Kong residents
  
  
• The applicant should have served the University for more than 3 years and are expected to continue to serve the University for a minimum of 3 years after completion of the fellowship. 

Funding Amount and Duration

• Max. HK$2M for research work for 2 years;  and 
  
  
• HK$89,016 per month for the salary of the replacement teacher for 12 months

• Max. HK$2M for research work for 2 years; and 
  
  
• HK$217,074 per month (for 6 months), or HK$2,604,890 in total (for 1 year), for the salary of the replacement teacher
