Funding Framework –

Marine Ecology Enhancement Fund (MEEF) 2025/26

Nature

  • To contribute to the conservation and enhancement of marine life particularly the Chinese White Dolphins within Hong Kong (especially North Lantau around the Three-Runway System Project Area) and Pearl River Estuary waters

  • The following themes will be supported:
    • Conservation & Enhancement of Marine Life and Habitat;
    • Scientific Research & Studies;
    • Education on Marine Environment & Sustainability; and
    • Cultural Heritage & Eco-tourism

Funding Ceiling per Project

Generally HK$ 1M

Project Duration

Up to 20 months

Application Procedure –

        a) Completed application form (MS Word / PDF); and
        b) Declaration form endorsed by Head of relevant academic unit via the new e-Declaration System (details available here).

An acknowledgement email would be sent to applicants upon receipt of application materials.
