  1. Applicants are required to submit their finalized applications via the RGC’s Electronic System (ES) http://cerg1.ugc.edu.hk/ to respective Research Panels for vetting by the Panels’ Deadlines.
  2. Before submission, applicants should scan the research details of their applications by VeriGuide.
  3. New eligible staff will require an ES login account for application submission. For account setup, please provide the following information to Grants Team, ORKTS by email at orkts_grants@cuhk.edu.hk: full name in English and in Traditional Chinese if applicable, position, staff ID number, reporting department, appointment start and end dates, and contact information (email address & telephone no.).
  4. When preparing the applications, applicants are advised to refer to the List of Useful Links ( GRF / ECS ) [updated!!].
  5. Special points to note:
    1. The Application Forms and Guidance Notes have been revised and structure for navigation has been improved. Applicants should read the revised Application Forms and Guidance Notes carefully before completing and submitting application via the ES.
    2. There are new declaration requirements which are set out in Part II (8) of the Application Form. Details about the RGC’s requirements on declaration of time commitments could be found here.
    3. Applicants are reminded not to include in their applications the links to external websites which may contain extra information about their proposed projects. Please refer to Section 1(7) of the Guidance Notes for this requirement.
  6. ORKTS is organizing a Grant Writing Workshop on 6 September 2021 to share with potential applicants tips on successful bidding for the funding schemes. To register for the Workshop, please go to https://bit.ly/2WuZwZS .
