Event Highlight | CUHK won nine awards at the Hong Kong Techathon+ 2024

On January 27, 2024 (Sat), the highly anticipated Hong Kong Techathon+ 2024 kicked off with great enthusiasm during its Opening Ceremony. The event was honored by the esteemed presence of Professor Sun Dong, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. The ceremony was kick-started by Professor Sun Dong and Professor Benny Zee, Director of Office of Research and Knowledge Transfer Services, CUHK, along with representatives from other co-organizing universities. Their participation set the tone for the Hong Kong Techathon+ 2024, which aimed to provide a platform for young talents to contribute to the advancement of technology and innovation in Hong Kong through innovation, collaboration, and exploration.

CUHK's young entrepreneurs achieved remarkable success at the Hong Kong Techathon+ 2024, securing a total of 9 awards in both the Open and Student Groups across three categories (Trusted AI & Data Science, Sustainability & ESG and Digital Economy). The awards include:
