Student representatives from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) received a total of seven awards at the National & Greater Bay Area Youth Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competitions – Hong Kong Regional Award Ceremony 2023: three gold prizes, one silver prize and one bronze prize in the 9^th China International College Students’ “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition; a first prize in the 10^th “Chuang Qing Chun” Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition; and a third prize in the 18^th “Challenge Cup” National College Students’ Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Contest.

Director of CUHK’s Office of Research and Knowledge Transfer Services Professor Benny Zee said, “As a leading, comprehensive research university in Asia, CUHK has always attached great importance to contributing to the development of Hong Kong and our country through research, innovation and the cultivation of talents. The various innovation and entrepreneurship competitions at the Greater Bay Area and National level are excellent platforms for students to showcase their research outcomes and entrepreneurial ideas, laying the foundation for them to become future innovation leaders. I hope that CUHK students will continue to participate and achieve great success in future competitions.”

The National & Greater Bay Area Youth Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competitions – Hong Kong Regional Award Ceremony was organised by the Hong Kong New Generation Cultural Association (HKNGCA). This year, awards were presented at the ceremony to the Hong Kong representative teams in four competitions: the 18^th “Challenge Cup” National College Students’ Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Contest, the 9^th China International College Students’ “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the 10^th “Chuang Qing Chun” Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the 6^th Beijing – Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Cup.
