Event Highlight | Green I&T Day 2023 (14 September 2023)

ORKTS 

The Green I&T Day 2023, co-organised by the Electrical & Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) and the Guangdong Provincial Association for Science & Technology, was successfully held at the Dong Fang International Convention & Exhibition Center (Guangzhou) on 14 September 2023.
This event aims to showcase the I&T achievements on energy efficiency and new and renewable energy with a view to promoting and facilitating the wider and faster adoption of I&T solutions in achieving carbon neutrality. It also provides an excellent opportunity for the start-ups, scholars, experts, professionals and government officials from the GBA to get together to exchange and share the latest green innovations and technologies.

The EMSD signed the Memorandum of Co-operation (MoC) on Green Intelligent Technology & Artificial Intelligence Standards for Electrical & Mechanical Systems of Buildings with the Guangdong Provincial Academy of Building Research Group and the Guangdong Province Construction Technology & Standardization Association. About the Electrical & Mechanical Services Department (EMSD)

The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) is the regulatory agency for the electrical, gas and mechanical systems used in Hong Kong. It’s main responsibility is to safeguard public safety through implementation of a set of comprehensive regulatory frameworks and systems on electrical, mechanical and gas applications and working closely with the community on public education. It aims that these systems and equipment function properly and in an environmentally friendly manner, enabling the people of Hong Kong to enjoy a better quality of life.
