Event Highlights | Social Impact Academy Webinar Series: Art for Good (22 Aug 2023)
Over 40 CUHK members were energized by Ms Amanda Sun's insightful sharing on art for social good in one of the webinars presented by Social Impact Academy on 22 August 2023. As the founder of Arts for Good Foundation, Amanda is dedicated in driving positive change through storytelling, expression and envisioning new futures through various art forms.
Arts for Good Foundation utilizes art's unique ability to spark emotions and reflection. Through arts-integrated learning, personal expression and inquisitive storytelling, the activities transform individuals and inspire connection across differences.
The speaker shared the Foundation’s multidimensional approach of community-rooted, artist-collaborated programs which inspire reflection and empathy among participants.
Through the means of arts education, community integration and service learning , Art for Good Foundation empowers the disadvantaged and bring together Hong Kong's voices. The participants were deeply inspired by Amanda's vision and works, CUHK members and researchers were also encouraged to leverage arts as a potential pathway for impacts and to collaborate with stakeholders such as Arts for Good Foundation to create positive change in the society.
