Event Highlight ǀ Hong Kong I&T Strives Ahead forum to mark anniversary of President Xi Jinping's visit to Hong Kong Science Park and celebrate the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR (30 June 2023)

To mark the anniversary of President Xi Jinping's visit to the Hong Kong Science Park and celebrate the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) co-organised the Hong Kong I&T Strives Ahead thematic forum with the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) and the Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Centre at the Hong Kong Science Park on June 30. The event aimed at uniting the local innovation and technology (I&T) visionaries, carrying on the past successes to the future and opening a new chapter for the country's I&T development.

As one of the celebration events of the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR, the event today was honoured with the presence of the Director-General of the Department of Educational, Scientific and Technological Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, Dr Wang Weiming, sharing the spirit of the speech delivered by President Xi and promoting the responsibility and mission of rejuvenating Hong Kong and the country through I&T development. Projects and awards obtained by CUHK being recognized in this event includes Lasker~DeBakey Clinical Medical Research Award, Ministry of Education Higher Education Outstanding Scientific Research Output Award (Science and Technology) 2022 and Gold medal with congratulation from jury at the 48th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva.
