We are a group of indie game designers and sign language lovers. Our game focuses on public welfare. We aim to help more people (players) understand the deaf community, sign language, natural language, and the differences between spatial/visual language and spoken language. Through our game, we learn about the life of a special community. We encourage our players to experience the life of the deaf community and get used to the lifestyle of the Deaf via the first-hand game experience. To realize that for deaf people, sign language is the most reliable tool of communication, which enables deaf people to survive in society. This series of contents or knowledge will be presented in the game as images/words/symbols/spatial layout. We aim to solve a common misunderstanding among hearing people: deaf people cannot hear, so they must understand the ‘written form’ of the language. However, since the writing itself is based on spoken language grammar, it still could be a second language (to be learned) for deaf people. In this game, we will present the difficulties and obstacles of deaf life through Live 2D animation, design different chapters/levels of the game with a complete/attractive storyline, and connect all the stories through no less than 10 simple puzzle games.
