Organized by CUHK(SZ) School of Medicine, in this research seminar Prof. Zheng ZHANG, Director of Institute of Liver Diseases, The Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen, will discuss the big topic of COVID-19, on the infection and as well as drug discovery. The global outbreak of COVID-19 has seriously endangered human health, and there is still a lack of effective treatment. Although vaccines and neutralizing antibodies have been authorized for emergency use, the recent increasing prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 mutant strains has posed serious threats and challenges. This seminar aims to elucidate the immune pathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2 infection and the strategies of developing new therapies for COVID-19.
